Вспомнилось, как я лет 5-6 от роду выучила слово "метафора". И потом, по рассказам, на любые неудачные шутки-пугалки, заливаясь слезами, спрашивала: "Это метафора?"
Надо же, уже тогда занятие было предопределено :)
